Christmas Dinner, 2014...Better Late Than Never

As it turned out, our Christmas Day gathering was the smallest and quietest of the season.  On Christmas Eve, we drove to be with our grandchildren in the Dallas for their early morning Santa Claus tree.  After a lovely brunch, we climbed in our car to head for home on the prairie again.  We wanted to share a tree with Beatrice Emaline and her mama and daddy.  Dinner followed at the games table in the living room.  Come on in...

I made the red tablecloth our of a rich Dupioni silk.  It's been in use for many years.

I was able to get one last use out of the arrangement in the ruby glass bowl.  It worked well with the Waterford Simply Red goblets.  The wash and wear green napkins added a welcome spot of Christmas green.
The blue bumper seat is for our Miss Beatrice Emaline.

The braided gold charger has gotten quite a workout toward the end of Christmas.  It could be that it was just already out and close at hand!

Each of us dined off of a different design in the Lenox Christmas Tree Wreath collection.  They each represent one of the original thirteen colonies.  This is my favorite...New Jersey.

I collected the Lenox Winter Greetings accent plate to use with the Colonial Wreaths series.

I think that they play really well together.

I find myself using the gold-toned flatware more and more.  I really like them.

A small intimate Christmas dinner with our family...a lovely way to end a busy 2014 Christmas Season.  Before we get too far past New Year's, 2016, I'm going to try to share our Christmas 2015, with you.  Have I totally confused you by now?  Catching up after a year away from blogging is proving to be a bit of an undertaking.  Thank you so much for bearing with me!
